BumGenius 4.0 Pocket Diaper

BumGenius 4.0 diapers are a one-size, pocket style diapering system. Choose from hook and loop or snap closures and a variety of colors and prints. Here's what you need to know:

One Size

BumGenius diapers will fit most babies between 7 and 35 pounds. This means you can simplify your diapering needs! A 3x3 snap down design adjusts the sizing on your BumGenius Pocket diapers to small, medium and large. A newborn-size insert is included to reduce the bulk on small babies (and you can use this insert later on with the larger, one-size insert to add extra absorbency).

Pocket Style

Sometimes called an "envelope" or "slot" diaper, the BumGenius 4.0 has a pocket opening in the back of the diaper shell. Place one or both of the included microfiber inserts in this opening, making sure to spread it out flat inside. Once the insert is in place, the diaper is ready to go on your baby. It's as easy as that! At the back of the diaper you will find a wide slot opening for easy stuffing and insert removal, plus a flap of fabric over the opening which protects your baby from wetness and keeps the insert from slipping up and out of the diaper.

Comfort for your baby. The Butterfly Closure System allows the diaper to stretch a bit around the waist, hugging your baby and giving your toddler a trim fit. The inside of a BumGenius 4.0 is stay-dry suedecloth, which keeps your baby feeling dry and their skin healthy by pulling the moisture through and locking it in the microfiber inserts. This suedecloth extends to the leg openings, reducing red marks on your baby's chunky thighs.

Care Instructions

Before washing, make sure to fasten the hooks of the hook and loop diapers to the laundry tabs on the inside of the cover. This will keep them clean through the washer. Pre-wash in cold water to remove waste, then add your detergent (We recommend Charlie's Soap or Rockin' Green, no fabric softener!) and let your machine do all the work. Once the wash cycle has finished, separate the outside shell covers from the inside microfiber absorbent pads. You are free to dry the inserts in your machine, but please hang or lay our outside covers to extend their life. Use 1/4 cup of bleach in the hot wash once per month.
