And the shoulder strap is well designed, too! Polartec fleece is used to cup your shoulder, eliminating any pressure points and no cutting into the soft tissues near your neck. Instead the fabric lightly stretches over the ball of your shoulder, the part that is more bony and able to take the weight.
The Scootababy is easy to adjust. Simply pull the straps through the specially designed clips to tighten, lift up to release. The Scootababy has duel-adjustment. This means it can be used on either hip. And it's easy to switch hips! Even if you gravitate toward using your left hip (as most right-handed people do), the Scootababy makes it feel nearly natural to have your baby on your right hip. And this is a great way to keep your back from getting too stressed, switch your baby from side to side regularly.
