Originally called GroBaby, the GroVia Hybrid diaper is new and improved. Enhancements include a waterproof backing to the soaker pads to keep your GroVia shells drier, extra length in the shell to fit more babies, and a true gusset to contain more messes.

GroVia Hybrid diapers are a system that combines an outer waterproof shell with removable inside soaker pads to absorb and hold messes. We recommend that you use two GroVia shells each day, swapping them at each diaper change. When baby is wet or soiled, remove the diaper and unsnap the soaker from the shell and put it in your pail (we recommend a dry pail for all GroVia products, this simply means you do not need to add anything to your pail when storing the dirty diapers for washing). Use a clean soaker and one of your shells to diaper your baby again.

The beauty of a Hybrid system is you will need less outside shells, which tends to be the expensive part of the diapering equation. You can simply replace the inside soaker pads as needed, or even use prefolds or fitted diapers under the GroVia shell.

Recommended Number of Diapers - Your brand new baby will use a lot more diapers than an older child. These recommendations are a guideline for how many GroVia shells and soaker pads you would need for your child. We have included some overlap in the ages, consider this a guideline, but also take into account your baby's habits and schedule when deciding how many diapers your child will need.

• Newborn – 12 GroVia Shells and 36 Soaker Pads (consider using infant prefolds inside your GroVia Shells in the very beginning!)
• 2-8 Months Old – 8 GroVia Shells and 30 Soaker Pads
• 6-18 Months Old – 8 GroVia Shells and 24 Soaker Pads
• 12 Months and Up – 6 GroVia Shells and 18 Soaker Pads
