All of our Beco Butterfly carriers are the model II (2.0). The model II of the Beco Butterfly has a few enhanced features. The removable infant insert is probably the greatest feature that sets the Beco Butterfly II apart. The bottom portion is adjustable, allowing you to raise your baby up and then lower the seat as they grow. Once they hit 15 pounds, around 3-4 months, completely remove this insert and store it away for use by your next baby. The Butterfly II also features a curved, removable sleeping hood and a few extra inches of padding in the shoulder straps as compared to the original Butterfly carriers.
